What are you lookin at?

I just did my first college gig in a long time and it actually went pretty well. Normally nooners are the worst and I try not to do them if possible but this one is set up really well. Mohawk and Fanshawe are the two colleges that are done well.

It is harder and harder to relate to what a young 19 yr old will like or find funny as I am reaching my mid thirties. So i threw what i had..a little bit of cock..a little bit of anger..and a little bit of edge and came up with a two pairs kings high.

It got me thinking about age in a club. Whenever there is old people in the club i know bookers and managers always worry about my act. They think old people don't like it. I have to be honest, more old people have come up to me in the last 2 years then anyone else. In london a few months ago a woman in her seventies high fived me and screamed

"Fuck the man"

Now it could have been something else cause I was scared at the time. She may have screamed "where's the beef" or some other reference from the past. The point is: she liked the show..actually she loved the show and that really stuck with me. See everyone is worried about offending the old and i am not. They have seen it all.

A few weeks ago I was doing a show and a woman said

"Oh my god how can you talk like that with older people here"

I of course said the following

"Ok lets get over this old bullshit. Do you think old people don't get angry..is that it. They are three weeks away from eating cat food and have a lifetime of pain to get angry about. They don't have a fulltime job to numb the pain for 8 hours a day. Nope just 24 hours of thinking how their life sucks now and in 1945 they could have fucked and been somebody. My grandmother sucked dick in world war two so she wouldn't get scurvy"

There was no old person high five at the end of that show but there didn't have to be cause I made my point. Sure old people don't like the language I use and I don't like how some of them smell but once you get over the small things fuck it.
It is great that they still come out and want to see something different that they can't get on their tv.
