What are you lookin at?

It has been a while since I posted a blog and there are two good reasons for it

First, I am currently shooting the movie Hairspray and have lots of days. I had to cancel some standup and it takes up my whole month of November. It comes just in time for Xmas. It stars Travolta, Walken and Pfiefer and I have lines with all of them. Lets just see if I make the cut once the film comes out.

Secondly, and more importantly we just received some bad news on the weekend that my second son will have the same heart condition that my first son has. For those that don't know my son has had five surgeries in the first two years and will require them until he is 18. The first year we lived at sick kids hospital and went through a very tough time. There is also a possibility that he will have even more problems then my first. That means that after feb 07, I will not be able to do any touring until at least the summer.

People sometimes don't realize how great they have it cause they take things for granted. If you have children and they have their health you are already ahead of the game compared to most in the world. I am lucky that this is all covered by health care and that I chose to procreate here.

The one thing I have learned after already going though it once is to cross the bridge once you come to it. For my first son they spun the wheel of disease and thought he had CF then down sydrome then (insert google seacrh disease name here).

It also means I hope you can find other blogs to read and laugh at cause I really don't feel like dancing like a monkey.
